Newlands Park, home of Cheltenham Rugby Club, played host to the Rotary Club of Cheltenham, when members checked and sorted 100 shoeboxes, as part of a Rotary District Shoebox Project that will send over 25,000 boxes to girls and boys containing Christmas presents. They will be distributed by Rotarians in Eastern Europe to disadvantaged children.

Families from Charlton Kings and Rowanfield Junior Schools packed many of the boxes.

The clubhouse at Newlands Park is used by many local charities and David Evans, Club Administrator said ' we were delighted to welcome the Rotary Club to our premises and to assist them with the Shoebox project, which needed a number of large tables and access to the free car park'.
