GLOUCESTERSHIRE BUSINESS SHOW PROMISES UNMISSABLE BUSINESS DISCUSSION. HAVE YOU GOT YOUR TICKET?
Packed with expert panel debates, presentations, forums and networking opportunities, the Gloucestershire Business Show promises to be more a festival of business than a standard expo when it takes place at the Cheltenham Racecourse May 16/17th. 9.30-4pm.
With an outstanding programme of talks, demonstrations and special events, the two-day extravaganza will also feature a delegation representing the Taiwan government taking part in a panel discussion looking at the opportunities that exist in the region and the strong regard with which ‘Made in Britain’ is held across all business sectors from food production to engineering.
Qing Lin, CEO of Gloucestershire-based Join in China is responsible for arranging the visit: “We’re obviously delighted that such busy government representatives will be at GBS18. It will provide a unique opportunity for businesses to explore how they can export to Taiwan, and we obviously hope it will dispel a few myths too,” she commented. “There are millions of consumers in Taiwan, mainland China and Hong-Kong that represent a huge market for companies in Gloucestershire and I hope we’ll be able to show it can be a painless exercise!”
The latest experiential technology will be on show with a special Augmented Reality (AR) demonstration illustrating how the food and farming sector can profit from transparency to the consumer. Scott Wakefield, General Manager of caterers, Foster’s Events is collaborating on the project together with Squashed Robot Films, Red Lemon and Neil Morgan Design : “AR is perfect for giving our clients the full story of where we source our ingredients. We are strong supporters of local produce and want everyone to know it’s not just lip-service but an honest commitment to the food and farming community of Gloucestershire and neighbouring counties.”
Of course, in addition to the traditional focus on food and farming in the county, Gloucestershire is also carving out a stellar reputation at every point of the cyber-security compass. Within the Information Security Zone, leaders in the industry will address current issues from day-to-day concerns such as data protection through to live demonstrations of your company’s vulnerability to breaches of security and how to implement robust security measures.
Across the two-day event, more than 60 different presentations will take place. Take a look at the complete programme here: https://bit.ly/2IVipK7
