Update on Cheltenham Rugby Club’s busy and exciting phase of the re development

New Changing Rooms-Work is well underway, you will see the superstructure is now progressing. We have had a few delays due to the winter weather but are hopeful every thing will be complete ready for the new season, 2018-2019.

AGP (Artificial Grass Pitch) following a very long period of negotiations with the RFU we now at last have a confirmed start date for the project. Monday 26th March 2018 with a completion expected in early July so again this wonderful addition to our facilities will be in place and ready for the start of the 2018-19 season. Please be mindful there will be some disruption to our facilities during the construction period, however hopefully we have considered all eventualities.

French Touring side- we have a team of 14-15 year olds from Limoges visiting us 13th -20th April this year. This is a fantastic opportunity for the Club to host this team, I know late notice be we are looking for some families, ideally relatively close to Newlands to host these boys (if you cannot do the whole period, even a few days over the week end will be very helpful) Catering can either be provided by the Club or by the host families. We are aware some age groups are unable to help due to school exams, so any help available will be greatly appreciated. We have organised a trip to the Gloucester v Harlequins game on the 14th April, so any sons/daughters helping could be included in this trip. Please email the Club house  if you can help (time is short so  a prompt response would be appreciated?)

Under 9's Festival Sunday 18th March- After hosting a very successful under 10s tournament for the County last year, we have been asked to host this years Under 9 Tournament, thank you to all the Under 9 team and parents for all the work that has gone into hosting this event.

Saturday March 24th- Legacy Field good by!! The AGP construction work commences on the 26th March, so on this Saturday our 1st team will be hosting Wells RFC for the last competitive match on our main pitch. Our President is hosting a Presidents day, we have the Cheltenham MP Alex Chalk attending to mark the occasion and officials from GRFU. It would be wonderful to have as many age groups present for the afternoon to mark this occasion. Please let us know if you plan to attend so we can ensure we have sufficient staff, food beverages to keep you all happy.  Email the Clubhouse if you can attend- it would be nice if a few of the teams could come in kit and perhaps provide a curtain raiser for the main event?
