WILLANS LLP PRAISED FOR “FIRST-CLASS CLIENT CARE” IN NATIONAL LEGAL GUIDE
Gloucestershire law firm Willans LLP has gained another strong set of rankings across 11 departments in the latest edition of The Legal 500.
The firm has been praised for its “knowledgeable, meticulous and extremely personable” lawyers, with two departments securing a place in the coveted top tier and one of its partners named in the ‘elite’ list of leading lawyers in the UK.
The commercial litigation team has won a place in the highest tier for the second year running, and is described as “able to compete with larger regional players”. Paul Gordon, who leads the team, has been noted for his “technical competence and pragmatism”.
Willans’ corporate and commercial team, which has particular expertise in the technology, telecoms and manufacturing sectors, retained its second-tier ranking. Department head Paul Symes-Thompson is noted for providing “client-focused advice”.
A new top tier accolade has been secured by Willans’ “adept” employment law practice. The department is headed by Matthew Clayton, who is praised for providing “calm, measured and commercial advice”.
Nigel Whittaker is recognised for the second year running as a ‘leading individual’ in the UK. Nigel’s commercial property team, which also retains its second-tier ranking, has been rated by clients for its “rounded, commercial understanding” and “sensible, understandable advice”.
Clients say that our wills, probate & trusts team delivers advice “in a professional and, where appropriate, simplistic way, removing any jargon or perceived prior knowledge.”
Managing partner Bridget Redmond commented: “This exceptional set of results is testament to the hard work and calibre of our lawyers. It is reflective of the firm’s strong commitment to client service and our ability to punch above our weight. I am very proud of all those named in this year’s edition and their departments”.
