Funding Available to Support Sustainable Communiting

What is the project about?
The project is about improving the health and wellbeing of staff, reducing congestion and improving air quality. It offers support to businesses to improve the accessibility of workplaces for both staff and visitors, and to benefit the local community by enabling access to opportunity and employment. By improving the options of how staff can travel to work we aim to work in partnership to reduce the number of trips made by single occupancy vehicles.

Who is funding it and how is it being delivered?
The Workplace Engagement project is funded by the Department for Transport through the Thinktravel programme and being delivered by Aecom and Go Travel Solutions.

Who is taking part?
The project is focused on the urban centres and surrounding areas of Gloucester and Cheltenham. Initial engagement has started with many major employers in the area including:
 Gloucestershire Constabulary
 Gloucestershire Hospitals
 Cheltenham Borough Council
 Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue
 University of Gloucestershire
