90 local independent traders in Montpellier, Cheltenham held a colourful street helping to raise vital funds for medical charity Cobalt Health which supports people affected by with cancer, dementia and other conditions.   Montpellier Street was closed to cars for the day and was filled with stalls and classic cars.   Traders held various events and promotions throughout the day including a raffle to raise money for the charity they have supported for many years.

This month representatives of Montpellier Association presented Cobalt with a cheque for a grand total of £1191.85.

Julia Jenkins, Head of Fundraising at Cobalt said ‘The fair was a fantastic example of community spirit being alive and well in Cheltenham.  We met lots of people and were able to spread the word about the expert care we offer our patients and how our imaging equipment can help to diagnose conditions at the earliest opportunity. The money raised will allow us to help provide services for more local people and to buy the ‘nice to have’ items to make waiting areas and treatment rooms a more home from home setting for our patients’.

Cobalt is an independent medical charity providing diagnostic imaging, research, support services and training for medical professionals, improving care for local patients.
