GLOUCESTERSHIRE BUSINESS SHOW CASE STUDY - WILLANS AND CLOUDTAMERS
Cheltenham-based solicitors, Willans and accounting and business systems company, Cloudtamers will be exhibiting their own products and services at the Gloucestershire Business Show, but will also be sharing a stand to promote their joint efforts.
Together, the two businesses have collaborated to develop a unique, market-leading HR management software product known as HR Legal Toolkit which will help people in human resources roles, or with line management responsibility, to run more efficient systems and to manage and mitigate employment law risks.
Cloudtamers and Willans spotted a gap in the market and their HR management and legal compliance system was born. The powerful cloud-based system has the ability to assist businesses globally. A new module to the established Cloudtamers HR management software tool, the HR Legal Toolkit which is available to businesses with staff in England and Wales, will be introduced at the Gloucestershire Business Show.
CEO of Cloudtamers, Nick Eden said, “Gloucestershire is a great place both to do business and operate a business.
“With more than 50% of Cloudtamers income coming from abroad we could be based almost anywhere with internet, but Gloucestershire is rich with qualified and competent people with the skills we require, so we want to raise our profile and support businesses in Gloucestershire.
“We are also using the show as an opportunity to announce our involvement with Willans, who have been working with us to develop a legal product which feeds into our HR management software.
“The HR Legal Toolkit integrates with Cloudtamers HR software and creates a seamless system to guide users through approved HR processes – from recruiting to performance issues and dismissal - and thereby reduces the likelihood of litigation.
“Businesses need not worry about keeping their policies and processes legally compliant as this is all part of the HR Legal Toolkit service, which contains up-to-date HR process templates and a document library.
“Through the HR Legal Toolkit fixed price legal helpline, users are also only a phone call away from Willans’ qualified employment lawyers.”
Matthew Clayton, partner and head of employment at Willans LLP solicitors added, “We are one of the leading and longest-established law firms in the county and, while our client base is both national and international, many of our clients have businesses in Gloucestershire.
“A lot of our work comes from our strong relationships with other local companies and exhibiting at the show will hopefully provide a great platform for networking and doing more business in the county.
“We are also using the show as an opportunity to announce our involvement with Cloudtamers. We have been working with them to develop a unique legal product enhancing their existing HR software.”
“The Gloucestershire Business Show is an ideal showcase for both businesses. Our collaboration in developing this new product is a great example of how Gloucestershire businesses can provide services to organisations with international reach.”
Cloudtamers and Willans will be exhibiting at stand Ca5 at the event.
Over 100 Gloucestershire businesses will be exhibiting at the Gloucestershire Business Show alongside a diverse programme of talks, panel discussions, debates and workshops. Find out who will be taking part at http://www.gloucestershire-business-show.co.uk/

Willans LLP solicitors provide commercial businesses, charities and not-for-profit organisations and private individuals with expert, practical and personal service.
Their lawyers, many of whom are City trained, are specialist practitioners and the majority of work is carried out by partners who are regarded as ‘leaders in their field’ by independent national legal directories. The firm is also Lexcel-accredited, a national standard that is only awarded to solicitors who meet the highest management and customer care standards.
Founded in Cheltenham, the firm was established by Alec Willans in 1947. After wartime service in the Navy, he qualified and put up his own brass plate within a year. He moved the business to 28 Imperial Square 61 years ago, however the firm based today at 28 Imperial Square is very different from then. The firm has grown organically and through mergers (a mixture of eight firms—Peak & Gyles, Stannard & Moss, Davey Son & Jones, Martyn Jones, John Yeend, Lester Maddrell, John Todman and the original Willans) to around 65 staff with 14 partners.
