The Chamber of Commerce provides a forum for local business giving you the opportunity to exchange views and share experiences with other members either formally or informally.

As well as providing an invaluable "sounding board' on local issues, the Chamber is proactive on many fronts. Recent Years have seen us taking a leading role in a range of projects designed to enhance the Town's commercial and retail resources.
These include:-
- An instigator of Cheltenham Retail Crime Link. This service provides instant communication between retailers, shopping centres, the Police and emergency services. 65 radios link 60 retail outlets. Future plans include 'out of town' retail parks.
- A similar 'Night Watch' system has now been installed in 16 night clubs. An unlimited number of public houses and bars within the Town are expected to join in the near future. These schemes have dramatically reduced theft from shops and licensed premises and increased detection and arrest.
- Provided support for the installation and operation of CCTV surveillance cameras to monitor the Town centre and surrounding areas, helping to combat crime and vandalism to the benefit of businesses and the community in general.
- Contributed to purchase of defibrillator equipment installed in Town centre shopping centre to assist heart attack victims. Town Centre Manager. We acted as a prime mover in the creation of this post and contribute to his salary.
- The Chamber is also represented on the board of the Town Centre Partnership, a body that aims to enhance the vigour and attraction of the Town as a business, tourist and shopping centre.
- Via our affiliation with County and Bristol Chambers, we form part of a great national organisation working for the benefit of its members.
